How Dots Work

Thanks for your interest, I utilize a manufacturing process that emphasizes quality, so that the product will last for many seasons to come. A FlyReelDot consists of a 5/8 Velcro* coin set and a Dot , which is a durable printed image sealed for water resistance and a thickness of 30 mil (similar to the thickness of a credit card).

You place the Velcro loop pad on your fly reel where you would like it, then the Velcro hook pad is placed on the back of the Dot. Next you lay your tippet or leader over the loop pad with roughly 2 or 3 inches of line extended beyond the pad. Attach the Dot to the pad, then wrap line around the base of the Dot for a more secure hold. That is how a FlyReelDot works.

When fishing my recommendation is to place your Dot in a pocket for extra security against loss.

If you have trouble finding your tippet due to arthritis or poor vision, then FlyReelDots are for you.

My old reel has been in the water many times and the original pad is still on that reel. If you ever wanted to remove the pad from your reel you can, just use alcohol to clean off any leftover adhesive on the reel from the pad. Click here for more information on how to remove the pad attached to your reel.

You might wind up like me and have one on the housing and one on each spool. This away I am covered on the reel or on the spool when I take it off and change to another spool. All with the confidence that my tippet will be handy and/or I will know what line is on my spools when you have a Line Dot on your extra spools.

It really does save time and allows easy access to your tippet. No more fumbling around, just remove the Dot grab your tippet and you are ready to line your fly rod.

It works great, I know you would agree. Try it for 30 days and if it doesn't suit send them back and I will issue a refund.
